I have been feeling a little rant-y lately, and thought I might come back to Livejournal.

Anyone out there still use this thing?

Then I went to start a post and it turns out a draft of my last post (whenever that was) had been autosaved. It went exactly like this:

"Well, it seems that mustaches are cool now. W"

I don't know what I could have possibly been talking about...

I wrote a huge post, but the LJ WYSIWYG Editor screwed it up beyond all recognition. Nice one, LJ!

Alright, I've been meaning to update this thing for a few weeks now...

So...decided to move out of my old house. It's a shame, 'cause that place was sweet, and quite cheap. But in the end, moving in with friends was a much more appealing prospect than finding some stranger to live with. So I moved out. And I must say, I'd forgotten how pleasant it is to live with people you already know and live. None of that getting-to-know-you weirdness.

Moving house also signaled the end of my busy-as-fuck period, which has basically been all year long. The thing is, now I am just sitting around with nothing to do, getting bored! So I need a new project, new plans, maybe a new band.

Going for holidays on 4 weeks. Gonna sit by the beach and stare at the sea for 2 weeks. It's gonna be grand. Then I start a new job. I got a promotion, which means that work people can't wake me up in the middle of the night to ask stupid questions anymore. I still feel like a sucker for accepting the job though. One day I will work up the guts to quit altogether and go and work part-time in a video store or something.

I sound like a broken record.

Thinking about getting one of these guys to do my dirty work (report writing, attending meetings) for me. Paperwork done while you sleep! How cool is that?

After working 15 hours straight on Tuesday, I got a little but run-down/sick.

So I took the rest of the week off, and besides being a little tired from fighting off whatever it was I had, it was great. I did some spring cleaning, including our incredibly gross bathroom. Ewwww. I also changed the brake pads on my bike. Pretty chuffed with this. I wanna be a self-sufficient cyclist.

The rest of the time I've been sitting on my bed, listening to music, soaking up the SUN. THE FABULOUS SUN IS BACK.

I've been called out to work in the middle of the night 3 times in the last week. With the payment I'll be getting for that I'm gonna buy the following:

- Billion 7402G-M
- I need a new MP3 player, and these are just so good looking. Though I wonder if I should try to integrate and just get a new phone with good mp3-playing ability. Advice, fellow dorks?

Went to Brisbane on the weekend. The usual whistle-stop tour, but it was fun. I got to give the grand tour of the city (it took all of 2 hours).

Everything seems cold now, after such a warm weekend.

It was awesome to see [info]find_persephone and [info]beastmaster666. Sorry I didn't make it on Saturday, we had a big day up in the mountains and at the beach. And happy birthdays to you both!

This trip had made me realise that I am a bit of a slackarse when it comes to keeping in touch with people. So I borrowed one of my Dad's old books, which was lying around in my room. I can't remember the title but it's about time management and effectiveness.

In between working 9-5, being called to do work in the middle of the night, band rehearsals, solo rehearsals, film scores etc I have felt like a chicken with its head cut off. I'm so busy I can't remember a thing - not even the name of the stupid book! Must manage time!
